This year (2001) I had the great pleasure of returning to the Great Dorset Steam Fair after stumbling into it quite by accident 22 years ago when it was at Stourpaine. What a trip! The fair is now immense--there were 46 showman's engines on the midway! Literally hundreds of steam driven everything, from Stanley Steamers to road locomotives, to steam rollers.
